Auckland Transport officials are assuring East Aucklanders that progress on the Eastern Busway will bring relief to their traffic frustration.
Officials were keen to showcase the project's latest milestone of a new road in a site visit with the Minister of Transport today.
The busway has been under threat since the axing of the Auckland Regional Fuel Tax.
While it is unclear whether the final stage will be completed, boots on the ground are rushing towards starting work on the long-awaited flyover.
