PSA unimpressed with pay freezes, redundancies at NZDF

The Public Service Association says pay freezes and redundancies at the New Zealand Defence Force will affect its ability and capacity to operate. In an email to all staff on Wednesday, the Chief of Defence Force Air Marshal Tony Davies told staff there's no money for base pay rises; there will be no increase in the number of uniformed staff; and civilians are being invited to apply for voluntary redundancy.
