General practice owners in New Zealand say the Government should start funding our primary health care properly - rather than supporting the use of physician associates to plug gaps.
Last week the British Medical Association voted in favour of stopping hiring physician associates in general practice, and for existing roles to be phased out.
Dr Angus Chambers, Chair of General Practice Owners Association of Aotearoa New Zealand, says New Zealand should take heed.
