More than 40 new positions are being created by the organisation responsible for building most of Christchurch's anchor projects.
The Christchurch Central Development Unit, a branch of the Canterbury Earthquake Recovery Authority, is restructuring because it now knows which projects it's responsible for.
A spokesperson for the authority says there will be 43 new positions in the unit, once all the anchor project teams are created.
A month ago, the Government announced its cost-sharing arrangement with the Christchurch City Council for 10 key projects.
The Christchurch Central Development Unit is leading seven of them.
