A homicide investigation has been launched after the death of a 17-year-old girl in Mangere over the weekend.

Police were examining the scene at Buckland Road, Mangere, and were following lines of enquiries to establish the circumstances around the death.
Initial indications show the teenager died on Saturday, police said.
The victim is yet to be formally identified and a post-mortem is being carried out today.
