Police have charged a second teenager in relation to a spate of car break-ins and thefts on Auckland's North Shore this month.
Waitematā East Area Commander inspector Stefan Sagar said a small group was responsible for the crime spree spanning four suburbs: Bayswater, Belmont, Devonport and Hauraki Corner.
Two 14-year-olds are now before the Youth Court in relation to at least 25 incidents.
"This week we have put this second teenager before the Youth Court on at least 11 charges of unlawfully taking a motor vehicle," Sagar said.
"It's a great outcome for our staff who have been investigating the group's offending in our communities."
He said police still advise the public to ensure vehicles are secured and valuables are removed, especially overnight.
