A person has died in hospital after being involved in a crash in the Auckland suburb of Epsom overnight.
A light truck rolled on its side and hit a power pole on King George Ave, near Gillies Ave, about 11pm, police said.
The driver and sole occupant was freed from the vehicle with help from Fire and Emergency NZ.
The person was taken to hospital in a critical condition and later died, police said.
The Serious Crash Unit attended and inquiries into what happened are continuing.
