Hillary Clinton has narrowly won the Nevada caucuses, beating a stronger-than-expected challenge from Bernie Sanders.
With 65 percent of the districts having reported, Mrs Clinton was leading with 52 percent of the vote to Mr Sanders' 48 percent, in the race to be the Democratic nominee for US President.
The television networks, Fox and MSNBC, were projecting Hillary Clinton would win.
The narrow margin suggested the Democratic race could be hard-fought, with Bernie Sanders having performed strongly in a state with a heavy minority population.
He routed Mrs Clinton in New Hampshire and finished a strong second in Iowa - states with nearly all-white populations.
