New Zealand drummer Mark Lockett is set to release his seventh album, ‘Swings and Roundabouts’. Recorded recently in New York, the album features a chordless quartet including top NY heavyweights David Binney, Duane Eubanks, and expat Kiwi Matt Penman.
During lockdown, Lockett penned nine original compositions inspired by jazz giant Ornette Coleman and drawing on the modern sound of his contemporaries.
