The South African jazz scene is incredibly exciting and diverse, as its younger musicians explore ways of fusing the urban roots of jazz with traditional music.
This week, Nick checks out some of the young generation of musicians making waves on the South African scene- including pianists Bokani Dyer, Thandi Ntuli, and Nduduzo Makhathini; horn players Ndabo Zulu and Sisonke Xonti; singers Mihi Matshingana and Zoe Modiga; drummer Tefo Mahola; and the fantastic ZAR Jazz Orchestra, led by Marcus Wyatt.
