We're back in the country for this week's "Sonic" Moment of Calm.
RNZ Concert host Bryan Crump took his recording device for a rural ramble during the recent school holidays.
While it wasn't quite Beethoven's "Scene by the brook" there was a kingfisher, a farm bike trundling past, magpie quardle ardle doodle, distant cattle, and if you listen closely, you might even hear a skylark ascending.
