When our human minds get a little too busy, perhaps it's time to turn chicken for a little inspiration.
For this week's "sonic" Moment of Calm, RNZ Concert host Bryan Crump went backyard to record a few chooks doing their stuff.
No consternation, no clucking, just a gentle gurgle as the girls went about their work, scratching for insects and anything else that might take their fancy.
All around the world, it seems figurative chickens are coming home to roost, but if you're looking for some quiet inspiration; our recorded chooks might just be a sign of hope.
