We're at a country railway station for this week's "Sonic" Moment of Calm.
About halfway between Danniverke and Waipukarau on the Hawkes Bay line lies the more than hundred year old Ormondville station.
Once it was a busy rural hub, these days it's pretty quiet.
Quiet enough that you can really appreciate the bleating of the sheep in the paddocks next door and the birds singing in the gathering dusk.
RNZ Concert's Bryan Crump stays there quite often (it's a museum and a bach these days) so of course he took his microphone.
You too can take a trip back in time just by clicking on the audio above.
