If you're lucky enough to have lots of Tui for neighbours, you might have noticed they like to start singing way before any light peeps over the eastern horizon.
Around Bryan Crump's home in the Wellington hills, the Tui are up declaring their territory from 3.30am - not easy to catch if you want to record them for a "Sonic Moment of Calm".
But when a cough woke Crump up about that time a few days ago, and he realised the Tui were already on song, he didn't hesitate to get out his recording device so you can enjoy the chorus without having to wake at such an ungodly hour yourself.
