NZSO principal horn Samuel Jacobs has played on movie soundtracks including the James Bond film Spectre, albums from the likes of Sting, Sam Smith and others, and was principal horn in the Melbourne Ring Cycle. Starting in Gisborne on Thursday 17 October, Sam’s touring six North Island centres with the NZSO, playing Strauss’s 'Horn Concerto No 1'.
David Morriss caught up with Sam recently, and began the interview with music from one of the soundtracks Sam has played on - Peter Jackson's The Hobbit.
