Georgia Steel is a young musician who's going places - she’s recently been accepted into the Masters programme of the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama in the UK.
Georgia's a graduate of Victoria University of Wellington in both conducting and viola, and is also legally blind. This weekend she'll be conducting the Kapiti Concert Orchestra in a programme including Beethoven's 'Symphony No 7', and Saint-Saëns’ 'Piano Concerto No 2' with soloist Otis Prescott-Mason.
Upbeat caught up with Georgia recently to talk about the concert, and her future plans.
