Norfolk Islanders will stage a march today to mark the final sitting of its Parliament, which was recently dissolved by Australia.

The historic island will now be a non self-governing territory, after Canberra passed legislation stripping it of state and federal rights, but granting access to all mainland government services.
Earlier this month the Norfolk Legislative Assembly ran a referendum asking Canberra to give the island a say in the changes to its governance.
Although it received 70 percent support, the Australian administrator on Norfolk, Gary Hardgrave, criticised the method used by the island's politicians.
As the Parliament holds its final sitting today, islanders who support self-determination will hold a march.
