An expert in international law says French Polynesian groups who have filed a complaint against France in the International Criminal Court are unlikely to succeed.
Last week, the French Polynesian independence leader Oscar Temaru told a UN committee that a complaint for crimes against humanity was lodged earlier this month.
France says it will defend itself in the case.
Joris Larik, a specialist in the International Criminal Court at Leiden University in The Netherlands, told Jamie Tahana the case is unlikely to get very far.
