Phone and internet services have been restored in Tonga with the completion of repair work on the Southern Cross high speed undersea internet cable which was severely damaged last month by the volcanic eruption and tsunami.
The chair of Tonga Cable Limited Samuiela Fonua confirmed the completion of repair work today after 24 hours of testing by the cable repair ship the Reliance.
