After violence in the south of the autonomous Papua New Guinea region of Bougainville, efforts are being made to ease tensions.
Late last month a man was killed, and the Buin studios of broadcaster New Dawn FM were wrecked when factions within the Me'ekamui group clashed.
The Bougainville police commander, Francis Tokura, spoke to RNZ Pacific's Don Wiseman about the violence, and what the police and government are trying to do about it.
