Vanuatu Prime Minister Bob Loughman has defeated a motion of no confidence against him in parliament.
The leader of the Vanua'aku Pati won the confidence vote by 27 against 21 votes for the opposition group.
But his coalition government is on shaky ground after a Supreme Court ruling almost tweeks ago.
