The Council of Medical Colleges in New Zealand and Te Ohu Rata o Aotearoa have just released a report on the experience of Māori doctors training in Aotearoa. The report has found that Māori trainee doctors are entering a world which has limited understanding of Te Ao Māori and a large burden is put on indigenous trainees to be the go to people for advice on all thing Māori. Jesse is joined by Māori Ear Nose and Throat trained doctor Dr. Rachelle Love and head of Te Ohu Rata o Aotearoa Dr. David Tipene-Leach.
