That’s the aim of the Genomics Aotearoa Rakieora programme. The goal is to set up an infrastructure that best allows the safe acquisition, storage and use of genomic and health data here in Aotearoa. One that upholds tikanga, centres the research needs of the community, and minimises negative outcomes.
Co-leads on the programme Associate Professor Phillip Wilcox and Professor Cris Print speak to Claire Concannon about what they hope to achieve.
