Hawke's Bay was one of the most affected areas when Cyclone Gabrielle arrived in February.
But now an audit of the main city has found 85 percent of visitor businesses are back open and operating as normal.
With that, local businesses are keen to welcome visitors back to the city to give their economy a much needed boost.
