Working in a busy south Auckland hospital emergency department isn't exactly where you would expect inspiration for a live theatre play, but that's exactly where Dr David Galler's material has come from for his best selling autobiography, which is has been adapted into a play.
The A&E Specialist at Middlemore hospital had his book The Things That Matter, stories of life and Death published in 2017.
Award winning playwright Gary Henderson has then adapted it for the stage. It opens next Saturday the 12th of August at Auckland's ASB Waterfront theatre.
