National table football tournament coming to Auckland

From Afternoons, 1:15 pm on 7 November 2024

Invented in 1947, Subbuteo players simulate a game of football by flicking miniature figures to try and score goals and win matches.

On November 16 and 17, the first ever New Zealand national table football tournament is happening in Auckland.

Organised by the NZ Subbuteo Association, the tournament will feature four of Australia's top players and two players from Austria.

Participants will be competing at Subbuteo for a Trans-Tasman Trophy and to be crowned NZ Open Champion.

Richard Edeson is President of the NZSA New Zealand Subbuteo Association and tournament organiser. If you'd like to know more visit the NZSA website.
