Nursing is a profession that has long been dominated by women and there was a time when it was one of the few jobs that was seen as an acceptable career for those who chose to work. Times have changed though and so has the nature of the job. Nurses today have more professional opportunities, but they can also come at a cost. Coralie Zimmer and Jo Smith started nursing in the 1960s and while their careers may have taken them down different paths, they both say they had the time of their lives.
