Moose in Fiordland

From Afternoons, 2:20 pm on 27 June 2011

For sixty years Fred Stewardson from Northland has kept secret four photos he took of moose in Fiordland. Fred took the photos on a hunting trip to Wet Jacket Arm in 1953, but his hunting companion told him to keep the pictures secret. The snaps include the only known picture of a group of three moose - a bull, a cow and its calf. Moose chaser Ken Tustin from Bull Creek, near Milford is delighted with the photos.
