Historians from all over the world, including New Zealand, have gathered in Wellington for Myriad Faces, a special conference at Te Papa which looks back at the legacy of 1917, a year which represented the end of an older world order that most of us know little about. Someone who does know about it is Maartje Abbenhuis, Associate Professor in Modern European History at The University of Auckland, who spoke to Colin Peacock.
