The small Far North town of Kaikohe is now facing its second week of level four water restrictions, and with no rain in sight - things are set to stay that way.
It's devastating for the small town, where some residents are down to just one, 45-second shower a day in an effort to conserve what is available.
RNZ reporter Katie Doyle and cameraman Simon Rogers took a trip to Kaikohe and filed this report.
