The Ports of Auckland appears to be bracing itself for more health and safety charges following a workplace death last year.
There have been three deaths linked to the Ports in recent years - the most recent a stevedore who was killed while on an overnight shift last year.
A report out this week shows the Ports are awaiting charges around a Maritime New Zealand investigation into that death.
It comes amid yesterday's news that the Ports chief executive Tony Gibson is standing down after 10 years with the company.
