WREMO on 'destructive' winds in Wellington

All flights in and out of Wellington Airport are cancelled for the rest of the day. Metservice is warning of "destructive" winds that would cause widespread damage. There's possibility of threat to life from falling trees and other debris. Strong south westerly gusts have cracked 160 kilometres an hour in exposed areas.
