Commerce Commission chair on Air NZ fare prices

The government's competition watchdog is keeping a close eye on the cost of domestic air travel, but the chair of the Commerce Commission's all but ruled out a market study suggesting it would do nothing to improve prices. John Small said the Commission has been investigating whether to do a competition study into the domestic aviation market, similar to recent studies into building supplies, the grocery and fuel markets.
