No mention of cages in 'colony laid eggs' - SAFE

An animal welfare group is calling for an investigation into what it said are misleading labelling on eggs, claiming some brands are fudging the fact their hens are caged. Safe said millions of eggs are being sold as so called colony laid eggs, which are eggs laid by caged hens, but the labels make no mention of cages. Battery cages are outlawed in Aotearoa.
