Corrections Minister looking at scrapping short prison sentences

The Corrections Minister is looking at scrapping short prison sentences in favour of longer ones, in the hope of reducing reoffending. Opposition MPs are scoffing at the idea, saying it flies in the face of the evidence. But Mark Mitchell says it's about accessing more rehabilitation, and keeping the public safe at the same time.
