Newmarket businesses say area feels like a 'ghost-town'

It's a tough time for business in one of Auckland's top shopping districts, with many empty shopfronts lining once-bustling streets. Newmarket businesses say high rent, a tight economy and changing shopping habits have all contributed to a difficult environment. They say the many empty buildings on Broadway and the surrounding streets aren't a good look for attracting customers, and the area sometimes feels like a ghost-town. Luka Forman went for a visit.
