AgResearch scientists have been planting and nuturing thistles. Dr Katherine Tozer's running an experiment to see when goats find thistles most palatable in the hope they'll eat the flowers and prevent thistles seeding. She's hoping four-legged pest control agents will help elimate the need for chemical spraying.
