One million reo speakers in NZ achievable
2018 was a big year for te reo Maori, with the government's launch in August of Te Maihi Karauna the first ever Crown-Maori language strategy. Its aim is to have 1-million New Zealanders able to speak basic te reo Maori by 2040.
