Jazz Footprints for Wednesday 27 July 2011
Programme 6 in a series of 13
This week on Jazz Footprints: Wellington guitarist Daniel Beban. His studies in Ethnomusocolgy have taken him from recording the voices of New Zealand to his travels around South East Asia. He’s active in the creative music scene in Wellington - managing the venue FREDS as a performance and art space - and builds instruments for his band Orchestra of Spheres who are heading to the UK to play a major music festival in December. He talks about his inspiring travels abroad, but also the creative people who inspire him.
