Tama Toki is the founder of Aotea energy, which was recently awarded 50-thousand dollars to develop sustainable energy technology. The technology is especially aimed at his boyhood home, Great Barrier island, where energy security can be precarious but he also hopes to roll it out across Aotearoa.

Maori bass baritone Morgan Andrew King is one of a handful of opera singers who will compete in the Lexus Song Quest in Wellington at the end of this month. He's currently studying a postgraduate degree at the Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia, USA.
