Te Ahu Taiohi fuses kapa haka, dance, hip-hop & theatre

A group of rangatahi aged from 13 to 18 have taken part in Te Ahu Taiohi a five week programme featuring theatre, contemporary dance, kapa haka, hip-hop and much more. They then fused all those different forms into one performance. Sasha Gibb is the senior producer for Te Ahu Taiohi and she reveals how their performance came together and the teachers they had including veteran actor Jim Moriarty and choreographers and theatre practitioners such Jared Hemopo, Amanda Noblett, Wahia Te Pouri, Myah Miranda, Ihaia Ropata, Luke Hanna, Dylan Vailima Faatui and John Ulu Va'a,
