Bilingual storyteller and children's book author Moira Wairama specialises in sharing Maori creation stories for kids.
Her latest book "Nanny Jo and the Wild Mokopuna" celebrates grandmothers while highlighting the significance of Matariki as a time to farewell loved ones.
The book acts as a conversation starter to help whanau deal with loss and grief. It is available in both Maori and English. Moira spoke with Susana Leiataua about the book and her upcoming public readings.
