Midday Report Essentials for Tuesday 19 November 2024

In today's episode, thousands of tangata whenua and tangata tiriti are gathering to protest the Treaty Principles Bill among other policies affecting Maori, the hikoi departed Cape Reinga a week ago, and has travelled south through Whangarei, Dargaville, Auckland, Hamilton, Rotorua, Hastings, to the doorstep of Wellington last night, early this morning, the final legs of the hikoi set out from Porirua and Petone/Pito One, more than 17,000 people gathered at Wellington's Waitangi Park and are now making their way through Wellington's Golden Mile to Parliament.
