Meth easier to buy than cannabis in NZ - new study
A new study shows New Zealanders can buy methamphetamine far more easily than cannabis. Initial findings from the country's first online Drug Trends Survey found a third of meth users were able to buy the drug in 20 minutes or less, compared to just 14 percent of cannabis users. More than 6000 people took part in the Massey University study after researchers asked for responses on Facebook pages for parties, clubs and pubs. Associate Professor Chris Wilkins told reporter Charlie Dreaver even though the figures back anecdotal evidence about the availability of meth, the results were still unexpected.
