Hihiaua Trust suggests joined forces for Whangarei cultural centre

A Maori trust that's just been granted a million dollars is inviting the Whangarei Council to join forces and build a performing arts centre. The Hihiaua Trust has been planning for nine years to build a harbourside cultural centre. It's now wondering if it could expand the project to meet the city's need for an auditorium.
