Taranaki mayors have asked the Government for help them diversify their local economies as the country moves away from oil and gas exploration. Three mayors from the region met Energy Minister Megan Woods yesterday and raised concerns about the government's recent decision to stop issuing new offshore oil and gas exploration permits. New Plymouth mayor Neil Holdom was at the meeting. He talks to Guyon Espiner.
