New NZ immigration targets slow visa processing

An immigration lawyer says visa processing times are being manipulated to engineer fewer approvals and meet Government residence targets. Immigration New Zealand says it is not allocating case officers to some residence applications for more than five months. Ministers will decide later this year whether to cap certain residence categories. Gill Bonnett reports.
