NZ must be ready for increased sea level rise - study
The long-held view has been that the world's seas will rise by just under a metre by 2100, but new research suggests it could be double that because of accelerating melting in Greenland and Antarctica. The suggestion is in a study by the National Academy of Sciences in the US, which is based on expert opinions of researchers across the globe. NIWA scientist Dr Rob Bell specialises in sea-level rises. He talks to Corin Dann.
