Moriori want to be included in the new Aotearoa New Zealand Histories Curriculum.
The Hokotehi Moriori Trust says the draft curriculum mentions Moriori only once and that is not good enough.
Historian Dr Grant Morris says the education system needs to take up the chance to rectify years of misinformation.
