The mayor of New Plymouth says a lack of spaces in managed isolation is forcing New Zealanders working on overseas oil and gas rigs to choose between their careers and their families.
Neil Holdom says if the government can bring in movie stars and rugby players, it should reserve MIQ places for the workers.
